About the position

The Director of Operations at SCA Health is responsible for leading a portfolio of surgical centers, ensuring operational excellence, clinical quality, and financial performance. This role involves strategic planning, partnership development, and team leadership to drive growth and improve patient care outcomes within a complex healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of centers with accountability for communicating and executing the growth strategy, direct facility P&L responsibility and overall operation execution.
  • Champion SCAH's HRO Journey to ensure leaders, teams, and physicians achieve clinical excellence and drive zero harm through adoption and standardization of Clinical Quality standards.
  • Partner with facility CEOs and Managers to implement strategic vision and goals for the region, including direct P&L responsibility for portfolio of centers.
  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high performing team of facility teammates, leaders, and managers of operations.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with health system and physician partners, care delivery organizations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Source and develop key relationships and growth opportunities with prospective customers including physicians, physician groups, health systems, and health plans.
  • Guide the regional safety culture focusing on structure, processes, and monitoring systems to prevent patient harm.
  • Provide operational oversight and leadership support to ensure strong facility leadership, clinical excellence, and financial performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with all support services to gain alignment and collaborate on mutual goals.
  • Partner with development and business development teams to source and execute on growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as an MBA or MHA are preferred.
  • 5-7 years of healthcare experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, is required.
  • Experience in ASC, outpatient, surgical site, and multi-site healthcare environments is preferred.
