About the position

The Director of Operations at SCA Health is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers, ensuring operational excellence, clinical quality, and financial performance. This role involves leading strategic growth initiatives, managing P&L responsibilities, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of centers with accountability for communicating and executing the growth strategy.
• Direct facility P&L responsibility and overall operation execution.
• Champion SCAH's HRO Journey to ensure clinical excellence and drive zero harm through standardization of Clinical Quality standards.
• Partner with facility CEOs and Managers to implement strategic vision and goals for the region.
• Develop annual budgets, conduct monthly financial analysis, and monitor KPIs to positively impact growth and margin improvement.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of facility teammates and leaders.
• Establish and grow relationships with health system and physician partners, care delivery organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Source and develop key relationships and growth opportunities with prospective customers.
• Guide the regional safety culture focusing on patient harm prevention.
• Provide operational oversight and leadership support to ensure strong facility leadership and engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as an MBA or MHA are preferred.
• 5-7 years of healthcare experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), outpatient, surgical site, and multi-site healthcare environments is preferred.
