About the position

The Director of Operations at SCA Health is responsible for leading a portfolio of surgical centers, ensuring the execution of growth strategies, and overseeing overall operational performance. This role emphasizes clinical quality, patient safety, and financial management, while fostering relationships with health systems and physician partners. The Director will also mentor and develop a high-performing team, driving operational excellence and aligning with the organization's values.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of centers with accountability for growth strategy execution and overall operational performance.
• Champion clinical excellence and patient safety through the adoption of quality standards.
• Partner with facility CEOs and Managers to set and implement strategic goals for the region.
• Manage direct P&L responsibility for the portfolio, including budget development and financial analysis.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of facility teammates and leaders.
• Establish and grow relationships with health system and physician partners.
• Source and develop new partnerships and growth opportunities with prospective customers.
• Guide the regional safety culture and implement strategies for patient harm prevention.
• Provide operational oversight and leadership support to ensure strong facility performance and engagement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with support services to align on mutual goals.
• Partner with development teams to execute growth opportunities, including acquisitions and service line expansions.
• Model SCA's values and enhance the culture of inclusion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as an MBA or MHA preferred.
• 5-7 years of healthcare experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in ASC, outpatient, surgical site, and multi-site healthcare environments preferred.

• Competitive salary range of USD $185,000.00 to $215,000.00 per year.
