About the position

The Director of Operations at Veridiam is responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating the operations function across multiple facilities to support business growth and the introduction of new operational programs. This role focuses on meeting organizational financial objectives while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of products. The Director will oversee manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and manage production teams to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, monitor and coordinate manufacturing operations across two facilities.
  • Ensure production processes meet or exceed deadlines and on-time delivery goals.
  • Develop and direct the strategic direction of manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze and evaluate efficiency and profitability of workflow, applying continuous improvement processes.
  • Participate in the day-to-day details and obstacles of the production process.
  • Oversee Production Manager and Production Supervisors.
  • Implement new manufacturing processes and products to meet organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate process improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiencies.
  • Establish and report on key performance indicators/metrics.
  • Support the development of production supervisors across multiple shifts.
  • Prepare and maintain production status reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments.
  • Manage personnel actions including terminations and performance management.
  • Participate in the recruitment life cycle including interviewing and onboarding.
  • Monitor employee performance through coaching and counseling.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.
  • Conduct training as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Eight (8) years' experience in manufacturing with product management oversight.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication and/or machining methods preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing product life cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise resource program systems, product planning, and scheduling.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and team environment.
