The position involves directing the operations of multiple temperature-controlled warehouse facilities located in the Northeast region, focusing on robotics, packaging, e-commerce, fulfillment, and distribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellence to meet customer demands and the expectations of the company and the entire team. This role requires evaluating overall operations and developing both short-term and long-term goals to unify operations, optimize costs, and drive customer growth while delivering key performance metrics. The candidate will oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation operations at their sites, ensuring that expectations are not only met but exceeded. A significant focus of this role is on continuous improvement, making decisions that enhance safety, service, operational excellence, and profitability. The candidate will direct and oversee programs to ensure the safety of all associates, equipment, and property, while also ensuring compliance with all company, customer, and government/regulatory requirements. The position demands a comprehensive knowledge and experience in leading complex food-grade warehousing operations, with a strong emphasis on food-grade distribution. Flexibility and a willingness to support operations 24/7 are essential, as is a broad range of leadership skills, particularly in safety management. The candidate must be adept at giving and receiving innovative, creative, and constructive feedback to foster team growth, productivity, and profitability. A history with performance management systems, progressive discipline, and safety reporting is crucial, along with experience in the fiscal components of multi-facility management, including budgeting and cost controls. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry requirements is also necessary. A bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree being a plus. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferable. The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in warehouse operations, e-commerce, fulfillment, and food-grade distribution, along with Lean/Six Sigma certification and a proven track record of continuous process improvement. Advanced analytical capabilities and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) are also required, as is experience working for a top contract logistics provider and exposure to automation providers or retailers with significant investments in warehouse automation systems. Excellent leadership, presentation, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to create a positive work environment for both bilingual hourly and salaried team members. The role requires a willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
