About the position

The Director of Operations at SCA Health is responsible for leading a portfolio of surgical centers, ensuring clinical excellence, operational performance, and financial accountability. This role involves strategic planning, partnership development, and team leadership to enhance patient care and support the organization's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of centers with accountability for communicating and executing the growth strategy, direct facility P&L responsibility and overall operation execution.
• Champion SCAH's HRO Journey to ensure clinical excellence and drive zero harm through adoption and standardization of Clinical Quality standards.
• Partner with facility CEOs and Managers to implement strategic vision and goals for the region, including direct P&L responsibility for portfolio of centers.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of facility teammates, leaders, and managers of operations.
• Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with health system and physician partners, care delivery organizations, and other key stakeholders.
• Source and develop key relationships and growth opportunities with prospective customers including physicians, physician groups, health systems, and health plans.
• Guide the regional safety culture focusing on patient harm prevention through comprehensive strategies.
• Provide operational oversight and leadership support to ensure strong facility leadership, clinical excellence, and operational performance.
• Work cross-functionally with support services to gain alignment and collaborate on mutual goals.
• Partner with development and business development teams to execute on growth opportunities including acquisitions and service line expansion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees such as an MBA or MHA are preferred.
• 5-7 years of healthcare experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, is required.
• Experience in ASC, outpatient, surgical site, and multi-site healthcare environments is preferred.

• Competitive salary range of USD $185,000.00 to USD $215,000.00 per year.
