About the position

The Director of Operations at REV Group is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, safety, and environmental compliance. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, optimizing resource use, and meeting production goals while collaborating with various internal teams. The Director ensures a safe work environment and the development of a skilled workforce to meet future operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility.
• Ensure efficient production and safety compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize resource use to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align schedules and process improvements.
• Supervise the production plan to ensure attainment of the sales plan.
• Schedule materials and human resources to meet production needs.
• Develop long- and short-range plans for operations consistent with the company business plan.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain proper staffing and skill composition of the operations staff.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Implement decisions made by the product improvement committee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Administration.
• Ten+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience in specialty or customized vehicle or chassis manufacturing preferred.
• Strong communication skills for presenting information to individuals and groups.
• Advanced problem-solving and project management skills.
• Proven ability to lead a large workforce toward achieving company goals.
• Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred.
• Advanced PC skills, including MS Office Suite, MAPICS, and/or MRP.
• Strong time management skills.
• Experience in implementing environmental, health, and safety policies.

• Experience in automotive, aviation, mining, farming, or marine manufacturing.
