About the position

The Director of Partner Communications at Microsoft is responsible for leading the Partner Public Relations strategy and managing a team focused on storytelling through media about how partners utilize Microsoft's AI and cloud solutions. This role involves collaborating with various departments to enhance the company's narrative and drive adoption of its technology offerings, particularly in a competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and execution for partner cloud communications, including news beats and proactive storytelling efforts.
• Build and maintain a rhythm of business to support the dynamic team.
• Collaborate with business partners across sales, marketing, CELA, and engineering to develop impactful storytelling efforts.
• Play a lead role in mega-deal announcements with Microsoft's largest partners.
• Drive a steady cadence of proactive storytelling and thought leadership.
• Lead and guide external agency resources for media research, engagement, and results measurement.
• Embody Microsoft's culture and values.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of people management experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree in a related field AND 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience working with partners on storytelling initiatives.
