About the position

Zelis is a healthcare and financial technology company dedicated to enhancing the healthcare financial experience for all stakeholders involved. The Director of Partnership Marketing will play a pivotal role in defining a marketing support model that caters to both product-driven and sales-driven partnerships, with the ultimate goal of accelerating demand creation and driving growth. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with various teams across the organization, including Product Marketing, Segment Marketing, and Brand, to develop marketing assets and integrated campaigns that effectively communicate the value of Zelis partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen, understanding the key profitability levers and revenue drivers, and will be able to translate this knowledge into actionable partnership marketing strategies. This role involves partnering with product leadership to commercialize products and enable sales, crafting insight-driven value propositions, and developing content that aligns with the B2B buyer journey. The Director will also be responsible for establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnership marketing and ensuring that marketing plans are refined and optimized on a quarterly basis. In this fast-paced environment, the Director will negotiate marketing strategies that elevate the Zelis brand and expand its audience, while also defining a co-branded marketing model. The role requires a strategic mindset to author marketing briefs that leverage data and insights, and to collaborate with various marketing teams to incorporate partnerships into brand activation and demand generation efforts. The Director will also advocate for co-branded event opportunities and establish best practices for measuring partnership marketing effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with enterprise and business unit partnership business development teams to define channel marketing goals, priorities, and investments that align with business objectives.
  • Negotiate marketing strategies for partnerships that elevate the brand and expand the audience.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to define contractual language for go-to-market strategies.
  • Define and formalize the Zelis channel marketing planning process, including governance and integration with enterprise planning, marketing, and sales.
  • Refine and optimize marketing plans on a quarterly basis.
  • Define a three-to-five-year marketing strategy aligned with product and marketing long-term plans, driving revenue and bookings goals.
  • Establish key partnership marketing KPIs and maintain oversight of creative development and execution.
  • Develop a co-branded/co-marketing go-to-market model.
  • Author strategic partner marketing briefs that leverage data and insights to influence relevant marketing programs.
  • Partner with product marketing to develop sales enablement assets for sales meetings and industry events.
  • Incorporate partnerships into brand and demand activation efforts, including industry conferences and events.
  • Define how partnership value propositions are incorporated into segment-targeted programs.
  • Identify speaking opportunities at industry events and secure collaboration benefits.
  • Establish best practices for partnership marketing measurement and define clear goals and KPIs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of successful and progressive work experience in B2B marketing, particularly in partnership or product marketing.
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and influence skills to build cross-functional partnerships in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in translating insights into effective partnership marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate buyer, client, and business needs.
  • Critical thinker capable of producing applied insights and problem-solving.
  • Self-starter and quick learner with a desire to learn new tools and techniques.
  • Agile, able to deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.
  • Experience with product marketing methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry and provider landscape is a strong plus.
  • Experience with electronic payments solutions is a plus.
  • Experience in B2B technology or professional services marketing is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed, not exceeding 25%.
