The Director of Physician Compensation will play a crucial role in centralizing the physician compensation calculation function, ensuring that the processes are efficient and aligned with the company's goals. This position requires a deep understanding of various compensation models, including private practice, wRVUs, percent of collections, and Earnings Before Physician Compensation (EPBC). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing workflows that integrate people, processes, and technology to administer the monthly calculation of physician compensation effectively. The Director will report to the VP of MSO Operations and will be tasked with assessing the current state of compensation processes and proposing a roadmap for centralization. This includes managing contract compliance, standardizing approval workflows, and ensuring that all payments adhere to contracts. The role also involves liaising with multiple departments, including finance, operations, compliance, and legal, to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the compensation process. The Director will also be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and mentoring team members, as well as developing training programs for finance and operations staff. In addition to routine responsibilities, the Director will function as a subject matter expert in creating new compensation plans and assessing existing plans during due diligence for potential acquisitions. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate across departments, and a working knowledge of the regulatory landscape related to physician compensation. The ideal candidate will have experience with large multisite medical groups and be proficient in technology solutions that support compensation processes.
