About the position

The Director of Physician Practice Operations at the Miami Neuroscience Institute is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing operational initiatives that support all Baptist Health practices. This position requires a strategic leader who can facilitate meetings with diverse groups of stakeholders, providing in-depth strategic analysis and assessments for clients, leaders, and Revenue Cycle counterparts. The Director will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that relevant Patient Access leaders and departments are aligned with organizational goals, focusing on metrics, KPIs, budget development, and process improvement. In this role, the Director will interpret policies and procedures, recommend changes as necessary, and provide constructive feedback to senior executives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational agility, collaboration skills, and assertiveness, with a proven track record of completing projects across various departments, entities, and specialties. The Director will also be responsible for providing creative and strategic foresight to effectively plan for healthcare industry trends and respond to unforeseen changes. Collaboration with product line leaders and executives is essential to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiencies, ultimately improving financial and patient experience outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operational initiatives in support of all Baptist Health practices.
  • Facilitate meetings with diverse groups of stakeholders to provide strategic analysis and assessments.
  • Oversee relevant Patient Access leaders and departments, focusing on metrics, KPIs, and budget development.
  • Interpret policies and procedures, recommending changes as appropriate.
  • Provide feedback to senior executives regarding operational performance and improvements.
  • Collaborate with various product line leaders and executives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Plan effectively for healthcare industry trends and react to unforeseen changes.
  • Assist in the development of system-wide standards for Patient Access functions to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Foster high ethical standards and strategic practices to enhance organizational success.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare preferred, or a minimum of 8 years experience in healthcare with at least 7 years in leadership roles in a multi-hospital/physician system.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in healthcare, including at least 5 years of leadership experience in a multi-hospital/physician system required.
  • Certifications from National Association of Healthcare Access Management, American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management, or Healthcare Financial Management Association preferred.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Experience supporting and implementing large-scale enterprise-wide system initiatives.
