About the position

The Director, Planning and Logistics Lead is a leadership role within the Supply Chain Management team at the company's manufacturing site in Durham, North Carolina. This position is responsible for overseeing the Logistics and Planning teams, ensuring the reliable supply of products to meet customer needs while promoting a culture of safety and quality. The Director will collaborate with various internal and external partners to optimize supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the site in achieving and sustaining a Proactive Safety Culture.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP and other business compliance regulations.
• Manage effective planning and inventory management to ensure reliable supply of products.
• Act as a key liaison for global Supply Chain and Network partners.
• Oversee S&OP at the site and serve as the primary contact for above site S&OP.
• Manage site warehousing and logistics operations, including material receipt and shipping.
• Support the annual refresh of the Long-Range Operating Plan and Strategic Asset Management.
• Coach and mentor team members for strong performance and professional growth.
• Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Supply Chain function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a regulated environment such as Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Operations.
• Five years of people management experience.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
