About the position

The Director, Planning and Logistics is a leadership role within the Supply Chain Management team at the company's manufacturing site in Durham, North Carolina. This position is responsible for overseeing the Logistics and Planning teams, ensuring the reliable supply of products to meet customer needs while promoting a culture of safety and quality. The Director will collaborate with various internal and external partners to optimize supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the site in achieving and sustaining a Proactive Safety Culture.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP and other business regulations.
• Manage effective planning and inventory management for reliable product supply.
• Lead Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators and problem-solving efforts.
• Act as a key liaison for global Supply Chain and Network partners.
• Oversee S&OP at the site and manage site logistics operations.
• Support the annual refresh of the Long-Range Operating Plan and Strategic Asset Management.
• Assist Finance in annual Budget Development and inventory management.
• Coach and mentor team members for professional growth and performance.
• Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Supply Chain function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a regulated environment such as Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Operations.
• Proficiency with SAP and strong analytical skills.
• Five years of people management experience.
• Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills.
