About the position

The Director of PMO & HR Programs at Tractor Supply Company is responsible for overseeing program management, media initiatives, and HR partnerships to enhance team member engagement and productivity. This role focuses on standardizing and optimizing HR programs and projects, ensuring alignment with business strategies, and fostering a culture of respect and engagement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute the HR strategic planning process, ensuring comprehensive strategies, plans, and budgets are developed and communicated.
  • Ensure alignment with business strategic initiatives and visibility of both business and HR priorities.
  • Identify key HR cross-functional issues and provide leadership in developing and implementing solutions.
  • Champion change management principles and practices within the organization.
  • Lead the Media team to align HR and TSC strategic initiatives with media projects and events.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance Team Member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to assess Team Member needs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with leadership in all functional areas on the continuous development/improvement of business processes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for projects to the HR leadership team.
  • Proactively manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
  • Drive feedback sessions to measure Team Member engagement levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and make recommendations for future improvements.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in engagement.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leading a team of HR professionals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or closely related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and skills, using data and metrics to evaluate needs and drive change.
  • Strong organizational skills, including setting priorities and planning project deliverables.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills with good business and financial acumen.
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HR technology solutions, such as HRIS, applicant tracking, and talent management.
  • Ability to connect with people of various backgrounds.
  • Ability to balance several tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
