About the position

The Director of Point of Sale Marketing is responsible for building and maintaining a high-performing package sales organization that effectively achieves business objectives such as Sales Per Hour by hotel, Team Member performance, and Vendor Partnership management. This role involves creating and implementing effective FPS package sales strategies while leading location-based sales teams to meet corporate sales objectives. The Director will align the goals of both the team and partners to foster a cohesive business relationship, ensuring that all sales targets are met and exceeded. In this position, the Director will develop the necessary competencies and processes to create an efficient sales organization. This includes enhancing team members' sales skills, hiring performance-driven individuals, and ensuring accountability within the sales teams. Leadership will be provided through effective communication of the vision, active coaching, and development of team members, alongside regular performance management through monthly reviews. The Director will also be responsible for implementing marketing employee reward and recognition programs, ensuring a high-quality customer care culture with hotel partnerships, and conducting monthly communication meetings to align goals. Budget control, compensation programs, and incentive planning will fall under the Director's purview, ensuring that departmental goals align with the overall strategy. Additionally, the Director will proactively identify changes in the timeshare industry and competitive environment to adjust strategies accordingly. Monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts will be prepared in collaboration with hotel partners, and tactical marketing plans will be developed to exceed sales forecasts. The role also involves negotiating agreements with hotels and retail partners to enhance marketing opportunities and collaborating with creative services to maintain professional presentation and brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify hotel partners and establish marketing proformas for growth plans.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address key business issues and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management and marketing, particularly in the hospitality or timeshare industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with partners and team members.
  • Experience in budget management and financial planning.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and leveraging technology for marketing purposes.
