About the position

The Director of Portfolio Management at ORIX will oversee the management and monitoring of the company's investments in Private Credit, Private Equity, and Real Estate. This role involves identifying credit migration and risk mitigation strategies, managing portfolio exposure to Structured Credit assets, and collaborating with various teams to enhance data quality and reporting processes. The Director will also prepare presentations for senior management and engage in strategic initiatives related to portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Structured Credit portfolio investments by analyzing financial KPIs and sector trends.
• Conduct financial and credit analysis, including valuation assessments and risk rating recommendations.
• Prepare portfolio management presentations for senior management, highlighting performance analytics and risk areas.
• Establish cross-business partnerships and network with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist the Portfolio Management team on various projects focusing on data quality and governance.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience in underwriting, portfolio management, or credit review related to structured credit.
• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• In-depth understanding of structured credit and legal documentation related to CMBS, RMBS, and CLO products.
• Strong accounting and financial modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in structuring bespoke asset-backed financing.
• Completion of a formal credit training program.
