The Director of Portfolio Marketing for Incontinence & Urology at Cardinal Health is a pivotal role that reports directly to the Vice President of Global Medical Products Marketing within the Medical Segment. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of the product portfolio, which includes strategic planning, category product mix, product lifecycle management, and the development of new products. The director will also focus on creating compelling value propositions, branding, and ensuring that the portfolio meets financial targets such as revenue, margin, and SG&A. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including leading a team of three employees and collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners across various departments such as regional marketing, sourcing, finance, R&D, supply planning, and technical services. In this role, the director will translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics aimed at driving sales and profitability. This includes identifying market trends, understanding product/service lifecycle implications, and making recommendations to maintain market competitiveness. The director will execute primary research (Voice of Customer) necessary for informed portfolio and product decisions, identifying market opportunities through both VOC and secondary research, and implementing solutions that align with market needs. Additionally, the director will leverage financial acumen to make sound pricing, forecasting, and financial assessments, while working collaboratively across various functional groups including communications, operations, sales, and IT.
