About the position

The Director of Portfolio Operations at NYU Langone Health is responsible for leading the Real Estate operations team to ensure the delivery of high-quality maintenance and operational programs across the commercial portfolio. This role involves developing best practices, enhancing client service, and implementing industry trends to achieve operational excellence. The Director will work closely with senior leadership to manage budgets, compliance, and team development, ensuring a class A experience for all occupants and end users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Real Estate operations team in the development and oversight of maintenance and operational programs.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient service to occupants and end users throughout the portfolio.
  • Coach, develop, guide, and motivate a professional commercial real estate (CRE) team.
  • Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of statistical data by the facility management team.
  • Ensure properties are managed in compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and standards.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans for the portfolio based on equipment life cycles and maintenance requirements.
  • Review, test, and implement new leading edge technologies.
  • Design workflows to improve overall efficiencies in managing the off-site portfolio.
  • Maintain relationships with key leadership stakeholders, including internal departments and external partners.
  • Develop, track, and report on property-based budgets at the portfolio and site level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred).
  • 10-15 years relevant experience in facilities management, real estate, planning, and project management in healthcare or related fields.
  • Broad functional/technical knowledge of CRE systems.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Technical ability to comprehend multiple facility building management systems (BMS).
  • Ability to prepare and present detailed reports on building operations and systems.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $146,384.38 - $218,914.08 annually based on experience and education.
