About the position

The Director, Procurement Digital Solutions at The Hartford will lead the product vision and strategy for the Source to Pay solution, primarily utilizing the Coupa platform. This role involves managing day-to-day application operations, overseeing third-party supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The successful candidate will develop a product roadmap, manage release activities, and collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize procurement processes and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the vision and strategy for the Source to Pay technology solution, including a product roadmap.
• Maintain knowledge of the market to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
• Drive adoption and optimize the Source to Pay technology to effectively enable business processes.
• Manage all aspects relating to Application Managed Services (AMS) outsourced to a third-party.
• Work with Finance and Technology teams to align the business roadmap with the overall Finance Technology roadmap.
• Foster teamwork between Procurement Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Technology Partners.
• Lead activities related to release management, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality product updates.
• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment.
• Monitor performance metrics to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of critical procurement data across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture.
• Direct experience managing an outsourced provider with a proven track record of success.
• Experience with service-based architecture, event-based architecture, or cloud-based computing/technologies.
• Advanced understanding of technology capabilities and direction.
• Experience with implementing cultural change at an organization level.
• Experience with Source to Pay digital solutions, Coupa or Ariba, is a plus.
• Experience leading strategic initiatives in a highly matrixed environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Strong leadership skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience and/or part of a team responsible for Source to Pay digital solutions, Coupa or Ariba.
