About the position

As the Director of Product Management for Consumer Deposits at BECU, you will lead the development and execution of the product vision and strategy for consumer deposit products. This role is pivotal in enhancing member engagement and satisfaction through innovative product offerings, while also driving growth for the credit union. You will oversee a team, manage product financials, and collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with BECU's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the consumer deposit vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Guide strategic decision-making within complex product capabilities.
  • Evaluate member feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to address market changes and penetration gaps.
  • Lead the development of product and pricing recommendations.
  • Provide competitive insights to understand market trends.
  • Maximize research flow for product delivery.
  • Manage portfolio and product goals across capabilities.
  • Define and monitor key success metrics for products.
  • Identify necessary industry partners for collaboration.
  • Work with User Experience and Design teams to enhance member journeys.
  • Oversee product financials including P&L and budget reporting.
  • Mentor and guide teams to foster a culture of growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in technology, business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of product management experience, including consumer deposits experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of people leader experience.
  • Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of federal laws and regulations impacting financial institutions.
  • Experience with Product P&L and return on investment drivers.

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to identify business and customer needs proactively.
  • Experience in determining product strategies based on customer feedback.
