About the position

As the Director of Product Management for Consumer Deposits at BECU, you will lead the development and execution of the product vision and strategy for complex deposit products. This role is pivotal in enhancing member engagement and satisfaction while driving growth for the credit union. You will oversee product development, collaborate with various teams, and ensure that products align with BECU's strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the consumer deposit vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Guide critical decisions within complex product capabilities.
  • Assess member feedback on new products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to drive initiatives based on market changes.
  • Spearhead the development of product and pricing recommendations.
  • Provide insights on competitive trends and evolving tools.
  • Ensure a seamless flow of research, concept development, and product delivery.
  • Manage portfolio and product goals across capabilities.
  • Define and monitor key success metrics for products.
  • Identify necessary industry partners and collaborators.
  • Work closely with User Experience and Design teams to enhance member experiences.
  • Oversee product financials including P&L and budget reporting.
  • Mentor and guide teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of product management experience, including consumer deposits experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of people leader experience.
  • Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of federal laws and regulations impacting financial institutions.
  • Experience with Product P&L and return on investment drivers.

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to identify business and customer needs proactively.
  • Experience determining product strategies based on customer feedback.
