About the position

The Director of Product Management - Consumer Deposits at BECU is responsible for shaping the product vision and strategy for consumer deposit products. This role involves leading a team to define the roadmap for complex products that enhance member engagement and experience, driving initiatives that foster growth for the credit union while ensuring member satisfaction and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the consumer deposit vision, strategy, and roadmap for complex products.
  • Guide critical decisions within complex capabilities to shape product offerings.
  • Assess member feedback on new products and services to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to drive initiatives based on market changes.
  • Spearhead the development of product and pricing recommendations.
  • Provide insights on competitive trends and evolving tools.
  • Ensure a seamless flow of research, concept development, and product delivery.
  • Manage portfolio and product goals across capabilities.
  • Define and monitor key metrics to assess product success.
  • Identify necessary industry partners and collaborators.
  • Work closely with the User Experience and Design team to enhance member experiences.
  • Oversee product financials including P&L and budget reporting.
  • Mentor and guide teams to foster a culture of growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of product management experience, including consumer deposits experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of people leader experience.
  • Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Experience with federal laws and regulations impacting financial institutions.
  • Experience with Product P&L, member value, and ROI drivers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to proactively identify business and customer needs and opportunities.
  • Experience understanding and determining product strategies based on customer feedback.
