About the position

The Director of Product Management - New Product Development at BECU is responsible for leading the creation and enhancement of innovative consumer lending products that resonate with members. This role involves strategic vision, collaboration with stakeholders, and leveraging industry insights to drive growth and member engagement. The position aims to position BECU as a leader in consumer lending by ensuring products meet and exceed member expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation of consumer lending products that meet member needs and support growth targets.
  • Lead the enhancement of current products and services to align with member needs and business objectives.
  • Leverage research and competitive insights to identify member and product opportunities.
  • Develop and oversee the vision, strategy, and roadmap for complex products and capabilities.
  • Influence decisions within the context of complex capabilities to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Assess the existing product portfolio for new opportunities and recommend modifications based on member insights.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product management, particularly in consumer lending or financial services.
  • Strong strategic vision and ability to drive product development initiatives.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-departmental teams.
  • Ability to leverage market research and competitive insights for product development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within a financial institution.
  • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.
  • Understanding of member engagement strategies in financial services.
