About the position

The Director of Product Management for Workflow Products at Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is responsible for leading the Gene Reading Workflow products and portfolio for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and PCR. This role focuses on driving sustainable growth, improving commercial performance, and enhancing user satisfaction through strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration. The director will mentor a team of product managers and establish best practices for product management, ensuring alignment with market needs and customer insights.

Responsibilities

  • Drive leadership, action, and accountability across the Gene Reading Workflow products and portfolio.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators and metrics to measure and improve commercial performance, product adoption, and user satisfaction.
  • Lead kaizen & DBS events to support continuous improvement and cross-functional alignment.
  • Establish and implement best practices for commercial product management, including customer insight and product lifecycle management.
  • Build and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance and coaching to drive share gain.
  • Define and communicate the product vision and goals for the portfolio, leading the go-to-market strategy.
  • Build positive cross-functional relationships and act as the product expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop customer intimacy to better serve customer needs and translate the voice of the customer into actionable insights.
  • Monitor and report on material changes in the market and competitive environment, ensuring alignment on product strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, biological sciences, engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience managing teams.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in the biotech or genomics industry and/or in a product or commercial role supporting highly technical product portfolios.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), genomics, oncological research, or biotechnology industry.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success leading cross-functional strategic and tactical projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • PhD in biological sciences, engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience with oligonucleotide management and product knowledge.
