About the position

The Director of Product Management at Gainwell is responsible for defining and executing the product development strategy, overseeing the design, testing, and implementation of innovative products and services. This role involves managing large-scale global product development projects that have significant customer and financial impacts, while also fostering strategic relationships with key client decision-makers. The position requires a deep understanding of industry trends and technology advancements to drive product adoption and ensure alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Define and create the product development strategy and execution plan for multiple innovative products and services.
  • Drive large global product development projects with significant customer-facing and financial impact.
  • Direct research on current and new technologies to develop or improve existing products.
  • Create strategic plans and convey the vision to motivate teams and ensure success in achieving company goals.
  • Define and launch new products and features leveraging the company's platform and delivery capabilities.
  • Collaborate with project management, development, and quality leaders on product roadmap implementation.
  • Articulate the company's product vision and set the course for continued development and growth.
  • Lead execution of development and project plans, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet goals.
  • Develop strategic business relationships with key client decision-makers and ensure engagement at the highest levels.
  • Evaluate and collaborate on product development processes, ensuring high development standards and product quality.
  • Define and steward effective data governance frameworks to ensure data compliance and integrity.
  • Leverage industry best practices, tools, and technologies to achieve results.
  • Establish and communicate goals, objectives, methodologies, and roles for personnel, ensuring coordination across teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fifteen or more years of experience with technical product design, configuration, integration, and delivering products to market.
  • Ten or more years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Experience with the product development life cycle at all levels of complexity.
  • Experience working with client enterprise products, services, and strategies.
  • Experience with technology architecture, mainframes, scheduling software, and related technologies.
  • Experience working with business environments, industry, and competitor products and services.
