About the position

The Director of Product Marketing for Consumer Disposal at Cox Automotive is responsible for leading strategic marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing vehicle acquisition opportunities for automotive retailers. This role focuses on driving measurable business results, including client acquisition and retention, while collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment and effective communication of marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Vehicle Acquisition product marketing team.
  • Collaborate with product, readiness, and business strategy to prioritize marketing efforts.
  • Design, build, and lead a team of product marketing professionals, setting clear goals and key results.
  • Establish areas of excellence within product marketing, including segmentation, personas, workflows, and KPIs.
  • Work with RMOps to develop demand generation and execute targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Build email campaigns for dealer sales segments to increase demand and engagement.
  • Develop Sales Enablement collateral for sales teams.
  • Partner with the Sales Business Office team on training initiatives.
  • Lead proactive communication strategy to increase awareness of KBB vehicle acquisition content.
  • Support the launch of new dealer and enterprise group products with marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to identify new market opportunities.
  • Develop core marketing materials and sales tools to communicate product value propositions.
  • Support the creation of a product marketing playbook for onboarding new clients.
  • Standardize processes and templates for product marketing deliverables.
  • Lead agency partners by articulating objectives and expectations for projects.
  • Provide comprehensive briefs outlining target audience, messaging, and desired outcomes.
  • Foster open communication channels with agency partners.
  • Encourage creative brainstorming sessions for innovative campaign concepts.
  • Provide timely feedback on creative work and manage a team of product marketers.
  • Develop relationships with cross-functional teams for campaign deployment.
  • Engage key internal stakeholders for approvals and business alignment.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor team members for professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10 years of experience in Marketing.
  • 5+ years' experience in a senior marketing leadership and/or people management role.
  • Experience with B2B Marketing for a company with a portfolio of products/services.
  • Strong analytical skillset and ability to manage a heavy workload.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work with senior leaders.
  • Experience planning and overseeing a multi-million-dollar marketing budget.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
