About the position

At Klaviyo, we are seeking a Director of Product Marketing to join our Platform PMM team. This role is pivotal as you will lead a small but dynamic team responsible for the core positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies of our Marketing solutions. As a leader, you will establish a strong point of view and voice that resonates within the competitive landscape of marketing automation software. With Klaviyo's established presence in the Shopify ecosystem and recognition as a leading email marketing solution, your team will focus on expanding into new markets and enhancing our SMS and mobile messaging capabilities. In this fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will not only be expected to deliver exceptional work but also inspire and coach your team of passionate product marketers to achieve their best. Your leadership will be crucial in crafting differentiated and unified messaging for our Marketing solutions, partnering with Product Managers to represent customer voices, and launching innovative features that stand out in the crowded marketing automation space. You will also play a key role in establishing Klaviyo as a thought leader in B2C marketing strategy by developing a compelling point of view and voice in the market. Your responsibilities will include building essential sales and marketing assets, supporting sales teams in strategic deals, and collaborating with the Segment PMM team to tailor messaging for various target audience segments. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product marketers responsible for core positioning and messaging of Marketing solutions.
  • Partner with Product Managers to represent customer voices and influence product roadmaps.
  • Launch new features and products into the market that differentiate Klaviyo in the marketing automation landscape.
  • Establish Klaviyo as a thought leader in B2C marketing strategy by developing a strong POV and voice.
  • Build core sales and marketing assets such as pitch decks, one-pagers, and enablement trainings.
  • Support Sales teams in strategic deals requiring product expertise and understanding of customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the Segment PMM team to tailor messaging and create sales plays for target audience segments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing roles, ideally marketing to Marketing buyers.
  • Experience managing and coaching individual contributors to build a strong product marketing team.
  • Ability to implement frameworks and playbooks while creating custom solutions as needed.
  • Proven examples of effective positioning and messaging that differentiate products or services.
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on work, including creating messaging and marketing assets.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or marketing automation software is a major plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading product marketing for marketing automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and its marketing tools.
