About the position

As the Director of Product Marketing at Cover Genius, you will be responsible for building, growing, and leading a crucial function within the company. Your primary focus will be to develop and execute innovative product marketing strategies that drive profitable and sustainable growth. This role is pivotal in demonstrating how Cover Genius can meet all protection needs globally through a single API, while also ensuring the delivery of best-in-class customer experiences. Your strategic vision and leadership will be essential in shaping the future of our product marketing efforts. In this position, you will become a vertical expert, leveraging your experience across multiple verticals to quickly understand the needs and priorities of our key markets. You will formulate compelling value propositions tailored to each client segment, bridging the gap between our complex product architecture and customer needs. Your ability to translate technical offerings into clear, concise value propositions will resonate with customers in key verticals. You will also be responsible for establishing and nurturing a content engine that generates valuable stories and thought leadership content, which will fuel sales materials, digital channels, ABM campaigns, events, and more. As a master storyteller, you will simplify complex product features into compelling narratives that resonate with clients. Building strong internal relationships will be crucial, as you aim to be a well-known and respected leader within the organization within your first 90 days. Additionally, you will support the sales team by creating impactful sales slides and narratives, actively participating in their most strategic meetings. Your role will also involve building a high-performing product marketing team from the ground up, including hiring top talent and fostering a collaborative environment. You will focus on crafting structured and prioritized value stories from complex products, managing your time and your team's time effectively to support sales and develop product messaging for new and existing offerings.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a proven track record of driving measurable results.
  • Experience in product marketing, content marketing, industry marketing, and sales engineering or product management.
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new verticals.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary for presenting and influencing at C-level.
  • Demonstrated track record of collaborating with internal/external stakeholders and leading discussions across multiple teams.
  • Ability to pivot and change course as necessary to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a postgraduate degree is desirable.
