About the position

As the Director of Product Operations at Spring Health, you will play a pivotal role in leading the core operating cadences, performance management, and cross-team collaboration processes within the Product organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO), this position acts as the Chief of Staff for the Product team, ensuring that the product leadership team operates at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing key planning and decision-making processes, such as solution reviews, roadmap prioritization, and annual planning. You will also be responsible for identifying, implementing, and managing product management tools and best practices that enhance the productivity of the product team. In this role, you will develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and report on product performance. You will lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving product operations, which will involve process improvements, resource allocation, and risk management. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with product managers, engineering, data science, design, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of product priorities. Effective communication and coordination between product teams and other departments will also be a critical aspect of your role, including facilitating report-outs of prioritization and product launches. As a strategic partner to the CPO, you will provide support in decision-making, strategic planning, and execution of key initiatives. You will oversee the CPO and product leadership team's agenda, ensuring clear ownership and continuous follow-up on action items. Additionally, you will coordinate and lead special projects and initiatives as directed by the CPO, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy and company goals. Your role will also involve assisting in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other materials for executive meetings, board meetings, and external engagements, as well as developing high-quality documentation to ensure clarity for cross-functional partners and stakeholders. Ultimately, you will guide the product development lifecycle at every stage, optimizing processes and rituals that help the team thrive.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, product operations, or a related field, with a track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in a Chief of Staff or similar strategic support role is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
