About The Position

The Director of Product Regulatory and Compliance at J.R. Simplot Company is responsible for developing and executing the Product Regulatory Strategy for AgriBusiness. This senior-level role involves providing leadership and management for the Regulatory Affairs function, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and aligning business objectives with regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with various teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to support product registrations and compliance efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • 10+ years of related experience and/or training in a similar business.
  • Experience in a leadership role managing a Registrations and/or Labelling team.
  • Strong background in registrations or science with team management experience.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the food and agriculture industry.
  • Familiarity with the Food Safety Modernization Act.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Product Regulatory Strategy for AgriBusiness.
  • Provide leadership and management for the Regulatory Affairs function.
  • Ensure effective communication with the FDA regarding federal registrations of new products.
  • Keep the team informed about federal legislation and compliance changes.
  • Manage the State Registrations team to ensure compliance with state regulatory officials.
  • Drive and manage a team across Federal, State, and potentially global registrations.
  • Partner with departments related to Food Safety Modernization Act and Safety Data Sheets.
  • Manage third-party consultants as needed.
  • Educate employees on regulatory affairs and product registrations through presentations.
  • Translate strategic business changes into necessary regulatory processes and technology adjustments.
  • Collaborate with marketing on new product launches and label changes.
  • Lead the team in hiring, training, and performance management.
