About the position

The Director and Product Strategy Lead will oversee the development and execution of integrated product strategies for a specific product indication within a therapeutic area in the US. This role involves collaboration with various functions such as Marketing, Sales, and Market Access to maximize product impact and manage resource allocation effectively. The individual will also contribute to the product's P&L management and partner closely with functional heads to ensure strategic alignment and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Define critical and specific integrated priorities and key impact measures for assigned product/indication in consultation with the cross-functional product strategy team.
  • Integrate, lead, measure and take decisive action against the KPIs on the integrated product strategy to raise impact for the product.
  • Contribute significantly to the P&L of a product/indication while enabling partner functions to manage day-to-day resource management.
  • Integrate key insights and data in partnership with functional heads to have an adaptive strategy and tactical plan for higher impact.
  • Establish and coordinate management of KPIs across all functions accountable for the integrated product strategy.
  • Partner with functional heads in trade-off decisions.
  • Collaborate with other general managers and members of the Product Strategy group for enterprise decisions, including potential trade-offs between products/indications.
  • Focus on talent development, retention, and growth, and act as a culture custodian.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or healthcare consulting industry with at least 2 different types of cross-functional roles/experience.
  • 2+ years of responsibility for large budget management, including key product trade-off decisions.
  • 2+ years leading and translating an integrated product strategy.
  • Experience across various product lifecycle stages (launch, growth, and mature phases).

Nice-to-haves
