About the position

The Director of Program Finance is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial management, forecasting, and strategic planning for a specific Line of Business within a leading DoD provider. This position requires effective communication with leadership, management of financial processes, and the recruitment and development of finance staff. The role is integral to ensuring compliance with financial regulations and supporting financial transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation/communication of all Financial Planning and Analysis deliverables for the Line of Business.
  • Communicate effectively with LOB leadership and provide timely updates on financial commitments.
  • Partner with other Program Management leadership on program risk, program opportunities and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
  • Support/lead all financial transformation initiatives; identify opportunities for system or process improvements.
  • Review and approve proposals and quotes across business areas and identify follow-on opportunities.
  • Review month end closing for possible accounting issues and work closely with Controllers to ensure financial statement accuracy.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, train finance staff and prepare annual reviews.
  • Evaluate proposal cost/pricing data for accuracy, consistency with strategic initiatives, and legal and contractual compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 12 years related experience; Master's Degree and 10 years experience; In lieu of a degree, 17 years experience.
  • 3+ years experience in Indirect Cost and Rate Management and 5+ years management experience, demonstrating increased responsibility.
  • Accounting compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Experience managing all contract types: Fixed Price, Fixed Unit Rate, Cost Plus, Time & Material.
  • Background and expertise in Government Finance from the Defense & Aerospace industry, with strong command of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other related regulations.
  • US Citizenship REQUIRED. Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance if they do not possess an active clearance at time of hire.
