About the position

As a Director of Program Management in Engineering at CrowdStrike, you will lead and manage large-scale engineering projects across three key product groups: Cloud Security, Identity Protection, and Data Security. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and people management, ensuring effective collaboration across global teams to drive project deliverables and align with the company's mission to stop breaches.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Senior Leadership in your areas of responsibility, owning proactive communications and consistent progress updates.
  • Partner and facilitate with teams at all levels, from developers on projects to executive-level strategy.
  • Create and drive the roadmap schedule, managing task assignments and schedule progress across Product Groups.
  • Coordinate and optimize efforts of cross-functional teams, identifying risks and proactively mitigating them.
  • Provide problem-solving leadership, holding teams accountable for timely decisions and escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with multiple worldwide business units to clearly identify project goals and expectations.
  • Proactively track project activities, ensuring schedules and priorities are met.
  • Manage daily/weekly project communication and status reporting, leading Scrum meetings and following up on action items.
  • Flexibly work across timezones to coordinate and follow up on work.
  • Engage in participative management, providing guidance to direct reports while allowing them space to execute.

Requirements

  • Must be fully proficient in the use of Jira, including writing complex JQL queries and building rich filters.
  • 13+ years of experience in program/project management for software development.
  • 7+ years of experience in people management related to software development teams.
  • Experience with large scale platforms and complex inter-dependent technologies.
  • Expert level experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management Methodologies, specifically Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience owning multiple programs/portfolios of products/features and scoping requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework methodology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft documents requiring little feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups worldwide.
