About the position

At InteLogix, we are currently seeking a Director of Project Compliance Operations to join our organization. This pivotal role requires extensive experience in the collections industry and a strong background in conducting audits. The Director will be responsible for ensuring that our operations adhere to regulatory requirements, managing client audits, and driving process improvements across the organization. This position is ideal for a results-oriented compliance professional with a proven track record in the collections industry. As the primary point of contact for client audits, the Director will ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements. This involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and clients to drive audit remediation and address any identified gaps or issues. The role also includes leading process excellence initiatives that arise from audits, customer complaints, exceptions, or operational issues. Additionally, the Director will manage the Change Management process, overseeing change intake requests from clients, compliance teams, or other areas, ensuring the smooth and accurate implementation of these changes. The Director will also oversee the complaints management process, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement while ensuring timely resolution and adherence to best practices. Maintaining and updating company policies and procedures to ensure they are current and aligned with regulatory standards is another critical responsibility. Furthermore, the Director will oversee licensing, bonds, and insurance compliance, ensuring that all legal and contractual obligations are met, and will coordinate with Compliance for licensing applications nearing expiration. Staying updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings relevant to outsourcing/shared services, including compliance changes and regulatory updates, is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for client audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and clients to drive audit remediation and address identified gaps or issues.
  • Lead process excellence initiatives resulting from audits, customer complaints, exceptions, or operational issues.
  • Manage the Change Management process, overseeing change intake requests from clients, compliance teams, or other areas, and ensuring the smooth and accurate implementation of these changes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations, compliance, or process management roles, within the collections industry.
  • Proven experience managing client audits, compliance processes, and change management initiatives.
  • Strong track record of handling process improvements, audit remediation, and complaints management.
  • In-depth understanding of FDCPA, and other regulatory requirements in the financial services or collections industry, including audit processes, licensing, and insurance compliance.
  • Solid knowledge or demonstrated experience of change management methodologies and process excellence frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
  • Proficiency with process excellence frameworks like Lean, Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives across multiple departments and collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
  • Experience managing projects related to policy updates, process changes, and operational controls.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy in overseeing regulatory compliance and contract obligations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10%).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  • A relevant certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP) is preferred.
  • Certification in compliance or auditing, is a plus.
