About the position

The Director PTC Operations at Keolis Commuter Services is responsible for managing and coordinating a team of network specialists to ensure the effective monitoring and management of Positive Train Control (PTC) and related systems. This role focuses on achieving service levels and performance targets while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and inclusivity within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop Network Operations Center (NOC) and create robust processes and procedures for its operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement performance and reliability measurements for PTC and related systems.
• Oversee incident management systems and act as an escalation point for significant system issues.
• Implement a robust remote monitoring program, including system alerts and automated reporting.
• Respond to significant outages or service failures on location and act as a liaison for the field team.
• Manage a team of five network operations specialists, integrating them into the operational business.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Engineering teams regarding communication and engineering network systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in managing large scale IP networks, railroad C&S systems, and network monitoring systems.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related area; or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements including FRA and OSHA regulations.
• Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and tools to create efficiency and accelerate change.
• Strong system and data analysis skills.
• Detailed understanding of performance improvement processes.
• Excellent communication skills at interpersonal and group levels.
• Ability to build trust in relationships and lead by example.

• Experience with automated reporting tools.
