About the position

The Director of PTC Operations at Keolis Commuter Services is responsible for managing and coordinating a team of network specialists to ensure the effective monitoring and management of all Positive Train Control (PTC), network, and back-office system issues. This role is crucial for achieving required service levels and performance targets, contributing to the overall safety and reliability of the commuter rail network.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a team of network specialists.
• Monitor and manage all PTC, network, and back-office system related issues.
• Develop and oversee the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Create robust processes and procedures for NOC operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement performance and reliability measurements for PTC and related systems.
• Oversee incident management systems and act as an escalation point for significant system issues.
• Implement a robust remote monitoring program and identify system alerts.
• Respond to urgent wayside failures and significant outages.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Engineering teams regarding communication systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in managing large scale IP networks, railroad C&S systems, and network monitoring systems.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related area; or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements including FRA and OSHA regulations.
• Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and tools for efficiency.
