About the position

The Director of Public Affairs, Corporate Communications & Brand Reputation Consulting is a leadership role focused on planning, developing, and implementing integrated communications campaigns. This position requires expertise in strategic communications, public affairs, media relations, and brand reputation management. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with internal and client teams, providing analysis, recommendations, and leadership to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project deliverables from project kickoff to completion as part of a high-functioning multidisciplinary team.
  • Serve as a trusted main point of contact for clients, leading day-to-day communication and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Develop multi-channel communications strategy in coordination with a marketing strategy.
  • Plan in advance and react in real-time to public affairs client challenges, coordinating with Global Prairie teams to integrate broader plans.
  • Utilize and nurture relationships with media and influencers to advance specific project goals.
  • Develop communications materials and plans, focusing on strong writing skills.
  • Manage timelines and budgets in partnership with the project management team.
  • Oversee client billing in partnership with the finance team.
  • Identify and drive growth opportunities for Global Prairie.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Strategic Communications or similar preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, journalism, digital marketing, consulting, or similar positions.
  • Demonstrated success in planning, managing, and executing complex communications campaigns.
  • Experience building relationships and securing favorable brand coverage with media publications at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Effective communication skills - long form written, informal spoken, and formal presentation style.
