Responsibilities

  • Perform project management duties and serve as primary client liaison.
  • Oversee work plan execution and provide periodic internal and client-facing status reports.
  • Generate invoices and manage the project budget.
  • Oversee development and distribution of deliverables.
  • Manage day-to-day communication and coordination with the client team.
  • Identify and qualify likely leads for formal follow-up.
  • Direct channel development activity to appropriate team leaders for additional follow-up.
  • Work collaboratively with firm leaders to analyze target areas of interest for development.
  • Create innovative ideas for industry-focused relationship building events.
  • Strengthen firm brand awareness through active external organization and event involvement.
  • Represent the company at regional trade association meetings to promote services.
  • Further develop existing client relationships for other service areas in identified regions.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and knowledge surrounding industry trends and share insights with client services, marketing, and sales.
  • Document business development activity with prospective clients in the Firm's CRM system.
  • Promote the full range of Baker Tilly service offerings to identified audiences.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or MS Degree highly desired.
  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in school finance as a superintendent or assistant superintendent.
  • Solid analytical, organizational and project management skills.
  • Must be able to pass the Series 50 Municipal Advisor exam within one (1) year of hire.
  • Ability to work under a defined and planned directive with minimal direct day-to-day supervision for implementation.
  • Maturity and adaptability to interface with a variety of personality profiles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
