About the position

The Director of Quality at Trios Health is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial management of quality performance, accreditation, patient relations, infection prevention, and patient safety. This role involves coordinating various certification and regulatory programs, participating in leadership meetings, and representing the quality department at state and national levels. The position requires a strategic approach to improve healthcare quality and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee operational and financial management for Quality Performance and related areas.
  • Coordinate certification, patient safety, and regulatory programs.
  • Participate in leadership and board meetings representing the Quality Department.
  • Plan and evaluate multidisciplinary process improvements related to clinical care and service quality.
  • Serve as an internal consultant for regulatory requirements and performance improvement activities.
  • Facilitate and monitor the performance improvement process throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement data analytics work teams for reporting and metric selection.
  • Oversee regulatory body surveys and advise on accrediting body selection.
  • Direct the development and monitoring of Infection Control functions.
  • Provide consultation for various healthcare programs and oversee quality site maintenance.
  • Manage information on occurrences and near misses, coordinating investigations as necessary.
  • Train and coach staff on conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Establish a 'Just Culture' approach in collaboration with HR and leadership.
  • Lead initiatives for proactive risk assessment strategies to mitigate patient safety risks.
  • Monitor patient and family satisfaction and respond to inquiries and complaints.
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide education and resource referrals to patients.
  • Perform chart reviews to identify issues with service delivery and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Master's degree in nursing (preferred)
