About the position

The Regional Human Resources Director at US Renal Care is a pivotal role that provides strategic guidance and support to leadership across designated geographic regions. This position focuses on implementing best practices in key HR functions, including employee relations, affirmative action, compliance with employment law, performance management, policy implementation, compensation, succession planning, change management, retention, talent development, and conflict resolution. The Director is responsible for leading and delivering high-quality HR services to employees at all levels, ensuring that HR strategies align with business goals and effectively support organizational effectiveness. In this role, the Director will objectively and effectively manage and investigate sensitive and complex employee relations issues, providing recommendations for resolution to leadership. They will act as an internal consultant to leaders, helping to align HR strategies with business objectives and emerging HR initiatives. As a seasoned change agent, the Director will influence and drive improvements within the organization, building strong working relationships with leadership, management, and employees through proactive and timely responses to employee relations concerns. The Director will collaborate with HR subject matter experts, including those in Compensation, Training, and Recruiting, to execute strategic plans for assigned business areas. They will facilitate meetings and develop training programs on HR-related topics as needed. Additionally, the Director will oversee the performance management process, guiding managers on documentation, coaching, and performance improvement plans. They will provide policy guidance and interpretation of state-specific and federal labor laws, ensuring compliance and upholding the management goals of the corporation by promoting teamwork and effective personnel management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and investigate sensitive and complex employee relations issues, providing recommendations for resolution to leadership.
  • Align HR strategy with business goals and act as an internal consultant to leaders on organizational effectiveness and HR initiatives.
  • Drive and influence change within the organization, implementing improvements as a seasoned change agent.
  • Build strong working relationships with leadership, management, and employees, responding to employee relations concerns in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with HR subject matter experts to execute strategic plans for assigned business areas.
  • Facilitate meetings and develop training programs on HR-related topics as needed.
  • Oversee the performance management process, providing guidance on documentation, coaching, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide policy guidance and interpretation of state-specific and federal labor laws.
  • Maintain effective personnel management and employee relations, including evaluating performance and counseling employees.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and supervise personnel as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in Human Resources, with prior experience in multi-location healthcare preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver high-quality HR services to all levels of employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated independent judgment, a high level of confidentiality, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS and payroll processes.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) with advanced Excel skills.
