About the position

The Director of Research Operations at Baptist Health is a leadership role responsible for overseeing sponsored and investigator-initiated research activities across the Baptist Health System. This position requires a blend of clinical and technical expertise to promote collaborative leadership, ensure operational integrity, manage budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance. The Director will lead research managers to optimize day-to-day operations, enhance financial performance, and foster a culture of customer service and accountability, all while supporting the mission of delivering exceptional clinical trial management and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the administrative lead for research operations across Baptist Health System.
• Promote collaborative leadership in the development of research initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to operational processes, both administrative and clinical.
• Develop and manage operations budgets and human resources.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and standardization of operational activities.
• Lead research managers to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
• Drive strong financial performance and programmatic research growth.
• Foster investigator engagement and patient-centered service excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health Science or BSN; MBA/MHA preferred.
• Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Licensure/Certification: CCRP, ACRP-CP, CCRC, CHRC, or other research certification or credentialed within 2 years of hire date.
