About the position

The Director of Retail Distribution Center Operations at Ashley Global Retail is responsible for leading the operations of a large and complex distribution center. This role focuses on achieving goals related to people, service, cost, and team member engagement by implementing best practices and leveraging new technologies. The Director will ensure that the retail distribution network remains a leader in service, productivity, safety, and quality, while also being accountable for significant annual sales and throughput in the distribution network.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations of a large and complex retail distribution center.
• Ensure the facility meets goals in people, service, cost, and team member engagement metrics.
• Implement best practices and identify new technologies to improve operations.
• Optimize the distribution network to achieve company objectives and business plans.
• Accountable for over $65 million in annual delivered sales and throughput.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 12 years of experience overseeing multiple medium to large sized distribution centers.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
• Ability to develop and implement business plans and goals.
• Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement.
• Knowledge of distribution software and inventory/warehouse management systems.
