About the position

The Director, Retirement Chief of Staff plays a pivotal role in supporting the SVP, Head of Retirement Segment, by facilitating strategic planning and executing key initiatives within the Retirement Segment. This position is essential for fostering partnerships across various departments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and initiatives, ultimately contributing to the success of the Retirement Segment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Retirement Segment vision and strategic roadmap with the Retirement Management Committee.
  • Monitor and track progress for key department initiatives.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to organize and assist in moving key initiatives forward.
  • Support and execute planning for offsite meetings, ensuring materials align with business objectives.
  • Develop processes within the Retirement team for timely follow-ups and thorough project reviews.
  • Assist in preparing executive-level communication materials to enhance management and execution of retirement business strategies.
  • Work effectively across diverse teams to foster long-term partnerships critical to organizational success.
  • Leverage internal sponsors of key initiatives to eliminate roadblocks and meet deadlines.
  • Serve as a member of the Retirement Management Committee.
  • Identify, assess, and advise on potential obstacles, making recommendations for re-prioritization of initiatives.
  • Build and develop relationships at various levels in the department for increased efficiency and responsiveness.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of business experience, preferably from a variety of diverse roles.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to lead through challenges.
  • Strong project reporting skills with a focus on cross-functional communication.
  • Willingness to pivot when enterprise priorities shift.
