About the position

The Director, Risk Governance - Third Party Lifecycle Management at Visa is responsible for overseeing the Third-Party Lifecycle Management Program (TLMP), which is a second line of defense in Third Party Risk Management. This role involves managing governance and oversight of Visa's third-party risk, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and implementing process enhancements to improve efficiency. The Director will also lead exit strategies for third-party relationships and oversee the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process, while mentoring team members and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop TLMP's approach to non-supplier relationships for better oversight.
• Serve as the primary contact for TLMP client and stakeholder inquiries.
• Identify and implement process enhancements for third-party risk management activities.
• Develop and implement exit strategies for third-party relationships.
• Oversee the quality control of TLMP reporting and analytics.

Requirements

• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8+ years with an Advanced Degree or 3+ years with a PhD.
• Minimum of 8 years in third-party risk management or governance roles.
• 5+ years of experience in the Payments industry or related roles.
• Strong understanding of Third-Party Risk Management Programs and related areas.
• Proficiency in risk management tools and technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree or 6+ years with a PhD.
• Experience in developing and implementing exit strategies for third-party relationships.
• Strong project management skills to ensure smooth transitions and risk mitigation.
