About the position

KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director or Director of Risk to join our Management Risk Management Digital Office organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that technology aligns with business objectives and the firm's overall technology strategy. The successful candidate will assume a strategic and proactive approach, acting as the main point of contact for IT project planning for the leads of a particular business function. This includes establishing technology roadmaps and effectively managing the pipeline portfolio. The Director will steer overall business expectations and perceptions, supporting ongoing two-way communication of technology strategies, priorities, and governance. Understanding the business strategy, processes, and decision-makers is crucial for participating in prioritization for delivery and execution teams. The Director will develop solid business relationships to become a trusted advisor with key leaders and stakeholders, proactively supporting business objectives. This includes partnering closely with business stakeholders to outline technology fiscal planning and being accountable for overall technology spend. The role also involves contributing to IT program organization development of best practices, methodologies, key performance indicators, and metrics to demonstrate value offered within specific support areas to effectively improve business and IT engagement. Additionally, the Director will partner with the IT Delivery Organization, sharing accountability for project delivery and acting as the Business Executive level escalation point to ensure business expectations, goals, and objectives are met. To qualify for this position, candidates must have a minimum of ten years of relevant business experience in technology consulting services, operations, and business processes. A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, computer science, or a related field is required. Candidates should be well-versed in technology, strategy development, and implementation, with the ability to identify innovative business solutions and develop multi-faceted business plans that align with the firm's overall mission and objectives. Outstanding verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential for leading an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. The ability to build strong professional relationships and influence all levels across the organization is critical, as is the capacity to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next-generation business and leadership needs. Familiarity with software requirements definition, including Agile methods, is also preferred.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum ten years of relevant business experience in technology consulting services, operations, and business processes.
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
