About the position

The Director of Risk Management at Universal Health Services is responsible for overseeing patient safety and risk management activities at Corona Regional Medical Center. This role involves managing claim functions, conducting risk assessments, performing root cause analyses, and leading the Patient Safety Council. The director collaborates with department heads and the executive team to implement risk reduction strategies and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Oversee the ongoing operation of patient safety and risk management activities.
• Manage claim functions including investigation and analysis.
• Conduct risk assessments for new services.
• Perform root cause analysis and track action plans.
• Lead the Patient Safety Council and integrate corporate TERM program into risk management.
• Collaborate with department directors and executive team on risk reduction strategies.
• Provide expertise on regulatory and compliance standards.
• Conduct data analysis and reporting related to risk management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field required.
• Master's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field preferred.
• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of clinical experience in Risk Management.
• Minimum three (3) years leadership experience in Risk Management required, acute care experience preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certificate preferred.
• California license in field of specialty.
