About the position

The Director, Sales and Business Development at Resilience is responsible for driving profitable revenue across various technology platforms within the Commercial Services Organization. This role involves building and maintaining strategic customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and managing the sales process from lead generation to deal closure. The position requires a strong understanding of the biomanufacturing landscape, particularly in Biologics, Vaccines, Cell, and Gene Therapy modalities, and involves significant travel to engage with clients and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements sales & business development strategy for assigned territories.
  • Cultivates relationships, identifying opportunities and new business development skills.
  • Researches, identifies and develops new clinical phase and commercial development prospects.
  • Represents Resilience at trade shows and conferences, maintaining active industry participation.
  • Owns lead generation and conversion for clinical phase and commercial development.
  • Collaborates closely with Sales and Business Development from other Franchises to generate leads.
  • Serves as a subject-matter-expert for Biologics, Vaccines, Cell and/or Gene Therapy development.
  • Maintains and drives continuous improvement in customer relationships.
  • Collaborates internally and externally to facilitate profitable business development.
  • Drives year on year growth of new business from existing and new accounts.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in CDMO sales and business development, project management, or development and manufacturing.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and various business models including licensing and royalties.
  • Prior external sales, account management or business development experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related life sciences / engineering field (Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, etc).
