About the position

The Director of Sales at Einfochips is a pivotal role focused on driving growth in the Embedded and Digital product engineering services sector. This position is primarily responsible for hunting new customers and expanding existing accounts, particularly within Fortune 1000 companies. The successful candidate will leverage the strong customer relationships established through our parent company, Arrow Electronics, to enhance business opportunities. The role requires a proactive approach to analyzing digital engineering and embedded opportunities, identifying potential customers, and presenting the unique value propositions of Einfochips' offerings, which include Embedded, Firmware, hardware, software, IoT, Mobility, AI/ML, Analytics, and Cloud Operations. A solid understanding of ASIC/FPGA technology is considered a plus. The Director will be expected to engage with mid-size and enterprise customers across the Western US, identifying their pain points and tactical needs to facilitate quick entry into these accounts. The role encompasses the entire sales process, from initial client communication and on-site presentations to proposal creation, negotiation, and deal closure. Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets is a critical aspect of this position, along with building a robust sales pipeline through effective prospecting strategies. The Director will also be responsible for developing strong, long-term relationships with Director and VP-level executives at targeted firms, ensuring a solid foundation for future business engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively analyze Digital Engineering and embedded opportunities in target business lines and identify potential customers.
  • Develop and present the eInfochips value propositions in Embedded, Firmware, hardware, software, IoT, Mobility, AI/ML, Analytics, Cloud Operations, and others to potential customers.
  • Understand customer digital transformation and industry technology trends.
  • Hunt, prospect, and call on mid-size and enterprise customers across the Western US.
  • Identify pain points and immediate needs of assigned customers for quick entry into these accounts.
  • Run the complete sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, on-site presentations, proposal creation and submission, negotiation, and deal signing.
  • Drive the closure of contracts and project-specific agreements.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Achieve prospecting and other sales process goals designed to build an optimal sales pipeline.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships and referrals with Director & VP level executives at targeted firms.

Requirements

  • 7-15 years of overall experience with 5+ years directly in the USA with a hardware, embedded, software engineering services company selling to Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Managing a portfolio of $5 to $5M purely in Engineering R&D Services (ER&D).
  • Experience in building C-suite/SVP/VP level relationships.
  • Ability and willingness to develop a client base in new territory via aggressive prospecting.
  • Good technical skills to carry out the first level of technical discussions with prospective customers.
  • Education background: B.E./B.S./B.Tech in Engineering; MBA preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Hi-tech, Industrial, Aerospace, Retail, or Transportation sectors.
  • Understanding of ASIC/FPGA technology.
