About the position

The Director of Sales for Growth Markets at Paylocity is responsible for leading and managing a team of Human Capital Management Account Executives. This role focuses on coaching, training, and developing the sales staff to achieve sales objectives while ensuring high performance and client satisfaction. The Director will also be involved in strategic planning and execution to meet the company's sales goals in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct and coach major market sales staff to meet objectives.
  • Teach and train the Paylocity sales process to maximize sales staff potential.
  • Report weekly on the team's sales results for the month and quarter.
  • Achieve forecasted sales by following and adjusting the written plan of action as necessary.
  • Monitor each salesperson's weekly performance against monthly objectives.
  • Understand department sales expenses and monitor them monthly.
  • Conduct one-on-one weekly meetings with each team member to outline discussion points.
  • Develop and retain top talent, ensuring full headcount is executed.
  • Handle customer complaints related to the department constructively.
  • Establish a chain of command for all escalations.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in sales management.
  • Experience with major account payroll, HR, and time and attendance solutions in large, complex organizations.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of the Major Account Payroll space.
  • Proven track record in managing and directing a highly-skilled, motivated, successful, and results-oriented salesforce.
  • Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
