About the position

The Director of Sales and Marketing at System Innovators is responsible for leading the sales team and managing the sales process for the iNovah Enterprise Revenue Management solution. This role focuses on generating new business, fostering client relationships, and ensuring sales metrics are met while collaborating with various teams to enhance customer experience. The position is part of the executive team, requiring effective communication and negotiation skills to develop profitable business relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business and foster relationships with current clients
  • Develop and manage a US-based Sales team
  • Inspire and lead the work effort of the Sales team
  • Ensure sales metrics are met or exceeded, including P&L responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Research and Development on requirements for new applications
  • Improve customer experience through collaboration with team members
  • Master the product portfolio to articulate value via presentations and proposals
  • Directly manage the Sales team to maximize sales revenues
  • Develop clear, achievable forecasts for bookings results
  • Support Sales team in creating a comprehensive annual strategy
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal company functions
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through ethical sales methods
  • Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries using appropriate methods
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years software sales experience
  • Customer-facing experience with state or local governments/Public Sector, or School Districts highly desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Sales leadership role
  • Experience in selling payment applications and payment processing services
  • Exceptional organizational ability and sales management skills
  • Critical thinking skills and decisiveness
  • Willingness to accept risk appropriately
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25%-50% of the working month
  • Comfortable presenting software in front of executives and end users
  • Comfortable with technical architecture discussions
  • Superior oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM applications
